Applying Integrated Payments to Urban Mobility

Flit Technologies, a company mostly owed by RCI Bank and Services, partners with COMO Global on designing a new integrated payment solution for urban mobility specialists. The idea is to streamline payments and cash flow management for businesses.

COMO Urban Mobility has been built by an urban mobility player and payment specialist. It features a full-fledged payment solution for mobility specialists to make their day-to-day transactions easier.

This offer is accessible through carpooling platforms, taxi fleet and Dispatch Management ecosystems. It takes care of payment reconciliation, execution, and associated invoicing needs in real time.

RCI Bank and Services strengthens their offer with this service. COMO Urban Mobility is being added to their range of e-payment services and assisting the car manufacturer through improving their payment checkout strategy.

Comments – RCI goes for a BtoB approach

Given the current battle on controlling urban mobility technologies, RCI Bank keeps aiming for more flexibility. Their financial arm has been particularly active in tackling new mobility-related solutions, Renault intends to take a deciding turn towards proposing associated services.

Since last year, the group has been focusing on business-oriented segments. After they acquired Karhoo, which became their BtoB mobility app, they are now looking into assisting urban mobility players through proposing a secure payment solution. COMO Urban Mobility will then be integrated with their different mobility-centred services (carpooling, taxis, car-sharing, etc.). This payment service is described as the first of its kind on this market.

Besides payments, RCI is working on different other strategic topics for their brands including Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and DLT.
