Shine: Key Figures

  • 2018: Shine was created
  • €10.8 million raised
  • 50,000 customer freelancers and entrepreneurs
  • 50 employees

CHALLENGES

  • Entrepreneurship made easier. Administrative procedures may be an obstacle for some entrepreneurs, and Shine tries to remedy this issue with their Start offer.
  • Prospective efforts. Shine Start is a means for this start-up to play a part in their customers’ early days.
  • Building a low-cost premium offer. Shine’s all-inclusive service package is a rather high-end offer build on their mobile app. But the cost they apply still allow them to target a large number of targets.
  • From FinTech to an assistant. More than a mere FinTech, Shine eventually tries to become a service provider and assistant for entrepreneurs globally, from creating a company to managing business operations.

MARKET PERSPECTIVE

  • Just months after they added an mPOS offer, Shine further diversifies they set of services with an insurance and administrative management options for their customers. This FinTech will, however, have adopted a different position when launching their Premium and Start offers. The development and launch of these services didn’t require them to rely on external partnerships.
